音乐剧课程

course description

Musical Theatre course focuses on technique-based training in skill development for singing, acting, dance and song interpretation. The priority is not on performance or production, but on the fundamentals, vocabulary and discipline of the craft.

 

The faculty members have Broadway, regional, national touring, summer stock, television and film credits, and draw from these experiences to create a dynamic cross between scholarship and rigorous training. Professional guest artists may also be invited to teach in the intensive.

 

As a student in the Musical Theatre program, you will:

- Become familiar with historical dimensions of studied material.

- Participate in regular dance (Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Tap), acting and song interpretation classes each week.

- Take one 1-hour intensive voice/singing technique lesson per week.

- Prepare for and participate in possible master classes from visiting artists.

- Attend possible production/artistic field trips in Boston.

- Build an initial repertoire of songs and monologues suitable for auditions.

- Develop skills necessary for effective auditioning and interviewing for college musical theater programs as well as familiarity with professional industry standards.

- Develop discipline in rehearsing and preparing for classes.

我们的教师有些是百老汇演员，有些有地区或者全国级别的巡演经历，还有的老师是电视和电影行业的从业人员，他们的一线演出经验和教学培训动态交叉。此外我们还会邀请专业客座艺术家为学生教授更专业高端的课程。

 

在本课程中，学生将：

- 熟悉所学材料的历史维度；

- 每周参加常规舞蹈（爵士乐、音乐剧、芭蕾舞、踢踏舞）、表演和歌曲课程；

- 每周上一节1小时的强化发声/歌唱技巧课；

- 参加艺术家的大师班；

- 参加波士顿艺术实地考察；

- 确定适合试演的歌曲和独白的节目；

- 培养为大学音乐剧试镜和面试所需的技能，并熟悉该行业标准；

- 在排练和上课中提升自己的实力。
