The Ithaca Writers Institute is a place where promising students come together to celebrate, study, and practice the creation of literature, laying the foundation for a successful life of writing. 

Unlike most other young writers precollege summer writing programs, which focus primarily on creative writing, the Ithaca Young Writers Institute hosts a wide range of both creative and professional writing courses, from poetry to publishing, building on Ithaca College’s reputation for blending praxis with the arts. 

Students experience a mixture of asynchronous and synchronous core genre workshops, craft classes, and literary magazine production led by IC Writing faculty and IC writing student TAs. 

Taught by the distinguished faculty of the College’s Department of Writing, with assistance from the department’s most talented undergraduates, the curriculum mirrors the department’s own unique curriculum, giving aspiring young writers an immersive conference experience in an authentic college atmosphere.

Typical Workshops include: Fiction, Personal Essay/Creative Nonfiction/Poetry, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Flash Fiction, Magazine Editing & Publishing, Writing for the Stage and others.

- 申请期间：1月3日开始

- 在线申请（CampMinder账号），提交高中成绩单，写作样本（诗歌 - 3-5首，总页数不超过10页；小说和幻想 - 5-10页；个人散文/创造性非小说 - 诗歌、真实故事或个人文章、文本/图像组合等，5-10页）
